I know it’s early, and who the hell no what’s going to happen in college football yet this year, but we wanted to go ahead and make out our 2008 preseason ranks. Yep, these 2008 college football preseason rankings probably won’t be anywhere near the final results, but we might just get lucky. Agree with us on all of them? Awesome! Think we are full of it? Tell us where and why. Here goes nothing!
1- LSU Why not? I want the Tigers to win it all back to back. Sure, we’re probably screwed without a solid quarterback (maybe), but who knows? Did anyone really think the Tigers were going to be the 2007 national champions? No!!
2- Georgia The Bulldogs deserve it. We just need to find some scenario where the two SEC powerhouses don’t have to play against each other in the SEC Championship.
3- Missouri
4- West Virginia
5- Florida We hope so. Florida is primed for a run at it this year.
6- Oklahoma
7- Texas
8- Virginia Tech
9- Clemson
10- Auburn
11- USC I hate USC so much, but they are good. Gawd it hurts to even say that!
12- Tennessee
13- Kansas
14- South Carolina
15- Texas Tech
16- Wisconsin
17- Ohio State lolol
18- Pittsburgh
19- Hawaii Poor Hawaii!
20- Brigham Young
That’s our top 20 picks for the 2008 football season. What do you think? As long as USC gets whooped, we’re pretty happy with this list.

It looks like Brett Favre is coming back to play for the NFL again, but not with the Green Bay Packers! Arguably one of the best football quarterbacks ever, Brett Favre just couldn’t stay in retirement for long. I guess the man is just itching to play some more ball. Hard to blame him, isn’t it?
Who will Brett Favre play for? Our guess is that he wants to play for the Chicago Bears, even though they are a huge rivalry with the Packers. Why? The Bears need a quarterback badly, and it’’s just a hunch. Who do you think he will play for? Any guess?

After four days of agony for Tiger Woods due to his knee injury, Tiger still managed to tie today’s round by hitting a birdie on the last hole. It was dramatic to say the least! Tiger started off with a double bogey on hole 1, and a bogey on hole 2 to lose the lead early. But you should never count Tiger Woods out! Just like the LSU Tigers, this Tiger always finds a way to win!
“The playoff at Torrey Pines will be Monday. Woods will try to win his 14th major, while Mediate, 45, will try to become the oldest player to win the U.S. Open. The U.S. Open is the only major to play an 18-hole playoff. The last time it happened was seven years ago, when Retief Goosen beat Mark Brooks at Southern Hills. Woods shot 2-over 73 to tie Mediate at 1-under 283. Mediate shot even-par 71. He had a chance to win the tournament on No. 18, but his 30-foot birdie putt curled off just to the right.”
The playoffs will begin tomorrow as Tiger Woods and Rocco Mediate will play 18 holes to determine the winner.
GEAUX TIGER WOODS!!

Yep, LSU baseball lost the first game in the College World Series (CWS). The North Carolina Tarheels won it by a score of 8-4. Of course LSU had another BAD call go against them when the momentum was on our side, but North Carolina really just had a better game. It just seemed like nothing was going right on the offensive side for the Tigers today. Oh well…. we’ll get another shot at it on Tuesday. Good luck Tigers!!

This has nothing to do with LSU, but it does have something to do with the man Alec and I have watched for years without failure. The Meet The press host Tim Russert died today from a heart attack. He was only 58. As Alec pointed out, that’s way younger than his Paw Paw that just had his birthday (happy b-day Paw Paw!). What a sad day. We really respected Tim Russert a lot. Apparently he has a lot of heart diseases that caught up with him. I would bet that half the men in Louisiana over 30 have some of these heart problems due to the tailgating and fattening food we love. What a sad day all around. :O(

You can also read about his heart diseases here: Coronary Embolism, Coronary Thrombosis, Asymptomatic Coronary Artery Disease
God bless you Tim Russert.
