LSU’s Glenn Dorsey Picked 5th In NFL Draft
Apr 26th, 2008 by gtull1
My man Glenn Dorsey was picked 5th in the 2008 NFL draft today. Dorsey will be playing football for the Kansas City Chiefs next year.
Glenn Dorsey is arguably the greatest defensive player to ever take the field at Tiger Stadium. He was given more awards for the 2007 season than any player in LSU’s history. LSU football won’t be the same without Dorsey. The Chiefs are lucky to have him, and I’m sure that he will be a starter for them. You can expect big things from Dorsey in the years to come. Barring any injuries, he will have an impact on the NFL for many, many years to come.
The first pick in the 2008 NFL draft was made by the Miami Dolphins, and they chose Jake Long that played Offensive tackle for Michigan. Jake was locked up in a contract for $57,500,000!
We’ll go over all of the other first round picks later.
We’re sort of surprised that Dorsey went as the fifth pick. We really expected him to end up with the Rams or Falcons, as the 2nd or 3rd pick. Oh well, KC got a good deal.
GEAUX TIGERS!!

question…..was it ali highsmith and chevis jackson that didnt get picked for the draft? whats gonna happen with them now?
You got it Gretchen. Most likely, they will find a team that they like, and that needs their skill positions. then they will try out for them. I’m pretty dang sure that they will be on an NFL roster next year.
:O)
