Les Miles On The Tiger Tour
May 9th, 2008 by gtull1
LSU football coach Les Miles made his second stop on the “Tiger Tour” in Lafayette, Louisiana. Coach Miles pointed out that this year and last year are similar in many ways.
“Last year we had a brand new punter and brand new quarterback with three or four backs who hadn’t established themselves,” Miles said. “So, this year we have a brand new punter and a brand new quarterback with three or four backs who haven’t established a favorite.” — Yeah, but last year we had Matt Flynn that was a senior, and fairly experienced, quarterback waiting to lead the Tigers. Thanks to Ryan Perrilloux’s decision to be a gang banger, our quarterback position will be left to someone that is probably not ready to lead the defending NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!
Les Miles then went on to explain who would replace Jacob Hester (one of the greatest Tigers to ever step on the field at Tiger Stadium!): “Keiland Williams had a bad ankle and obviously didn’t have the spring he wanted too,” Miles said. “Richard Murphy and Charles Scott had a great spring and I wasn’t at all disappointed with Stevan Ridley. Again it’s going to be running back by committee, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see someone step out of the pack.”— I think that Keiland Williams is going to step up for us big time in the 2008-2008 season. I sure hope so!
“I think we’ll be in great shape,” Miles said. “I like the development of Andrew Hatch and Jarrett Lee. I’m looking forward to getting (Jordan) Jefferson on campus and competing. We had good quarterback play this spring and I look forward to it continuing.”— We saw Hatch and Lee at the 2008 LSU Spring game. They were Ok. Obviously, they have a long way to go. Let’s cross our fingers that these guys can step up for us!
In other news, we have almost finished the design of the new LSU Football Forums. We made the colors primarily purple, with a splash of gold. I sort of like the picture of Mike The Tiger (the best of the LSU Tigers!) at the top, but we want to work on that some more. It’s coming along really good. We are praying that we will be 100% complete in another day. What do you think? Feel free to yell at us in the feedback section. You can say hello to us fellow Tigers fans if you want to, just like 1 of us has so far. Alec said he won’t say anything until everything is just right. lol
Thanks for stopping by everyone! Geaux Tigers!!!!!
