We Want Our Ashes Spread Around Tiger Stadium!
May 9th, 2008 by gtull1
We read the coolest story today about sports fans wanting their ashes spread around a sporting venue when they die. One man said that he has it in his will to have his cremated remains spread around Bryant-Denny Stadium, at the University of Alabama. He has actually made sure that the university gets some cash for allowing it.
They also interviewed some people at LSU about having ashes spread around Tiger Stadium. Apparently a lot of people showed up at LSU’s stadium to spread remains when the big rennovation was being done. A representative of LSU said that they turn all of the requests down. What a bummer huh? Why not let people spread their ashes at a place they love so much? Well, someone at LSU claims that there is a health risk. That’s a load of bull. Human remains, after a cremation, are 100% sterile. You can add them to your spaghetti if you want to. Louisiana has no laws dealing with the disposal of ashes, and they shouldn’t. Human ashes are safer than the dirt that is on the field of Tiger Stadium!
Alec and I both agree that we want our ashes spread around Tiger Stadium when it’s our turn. I would like some of mine to go in Mike’s new cage, and the rest sprinkled inside the stadium. Alec wants his all dumped in the North endzone.

P.S. Have you seen the LSU football forums yet? It is REALLY starting to look good. We just added the banner at the top. We’re just tweaking a few things, and we want some LSU smilies for it.
GEAUX TIGERS!!
