2008 LSU Fan Day!

The 2008 LSU Football Fan Day will be on August 10, 2008. Unline every other LSU Fan Day, this one will be at the Baton Rouge River Center in downtown BR (they are working on the turf at Tiger Stadium). The big event will start at 1:30 where you can look at Mike and google the LSU cheerleaders. Then from 2:30 until 4:00 you can get some autographs from coach Les Miles and the football players. The first 4,000 people to show up will get a fan day gift bag full of goodies such as a poster, game schedule magnet, and more. Best of all, the LSU Football Fan Day is free! You can’t say “free” and “LSU” together in the same sentence very often.
So how about it? Will you be going to Fan Day this year? Of course Alec and me will be there. We’re planning on bringing a lot of items to get autographed this year. I’m not sure how many items we can talk them into autographing, but we’re going to have a bunch of footballs to try it with for sure. I told Alec that he should focus on getting some cheerleader signatures, but he just gave me the evil eye. lol
Maybe we will see a few of you there? I hope so. Geaux Tigers!!
My boyfriend’s birthday is next week, and I wanted to celebrate it Sunday. He is a huge LSU fan. His daughter graduated from LSU. He has season tickets to LSU football and basketball. I need some help. What can I do “LSU” that will blow his mind for his birthday?

I’ll tell you what we want more than anything. We have an LSU room at our house that is decked out with LSU merchandise. What we want to add to it though is a bunch of really nice LSU furniture. In particular, we want an LSU couch, clock, and recliner. They are a bit pricey, but can you say “unreal”?? I’ll promise you that this is VERY HIGH on our LSU wish list. Hey Guys
How about the man who took basketball in new directions…’Pistol’ Pete Maravich? I’d say that he was arguably the finest tiger on the BB courts, and his name is on the BB Arena on campus. Later in life he became a really good guy, too. He toured many (all?) parts of the U.S. and gave very uplifting public speeches. Any memorabilia associated with Pistol Pete seems a good idea.

Man… that is a heck of an idea there! Seriously, neither of us had even thought about adding some Pistol Pete items to show off here. In hindsight, it just seems like common sense. It’s hard to think about “LSU” without mentioning Pistol Pete isn’t it? You’re right. he was a heck of a Tiger, and a very good man. We will do it! Expect to see a post on him asap.
